a) bluegreen may be bought out by diamond resorts. they are currently in talks over purchasing the company for $15 per share which is double what it was worth at the time. im not sure whether or not i should be concerned over the buyout. it has been made clear by our higher ups that their decision will be based upon 1) our owners and 2) the employees. i could end up not having a job come sept 15, or in a fabulous world i could end up with a much larger salary. wouldnt that be fabulous?
b) i did some closing paperwork for a woman who was terminally ill today. she had some type of blood disease and this really got me thinking into what i would do if i only had 6 months to live. what would you do if you were (to quote tim mcgraw) to live like you were dying?
c) a friend of mine applied for a job in my office. she didnt get the position and i am sad and happy at the same time. i would have loved to spend more time with her, but after seeing her for that short while i realized that although we are a few months apart in age, our maturity levels are incomparable. maybe i just handle myself differently because ive been in a professional business for some time now. have you ever recommended a friend to work in your office?

I worked for DRI due to the Sunterra buy out deal, I found that DRI micro managed from the top. Our resort stayed in turmoil. 50% of the managers are no longer with the company at the resort that I worked. Every employee was working under stress because of the manage by intimidation and brow beating that was used at our resort. The employee turnover rate was really high. Most of this was resort level, however it seemed that upper management was putting so many demand on them that they could not function. All I know is Sunterra had problems, but they did care about customer service and thier employees.
