“Why are you doing this to us?”
“Because were home”
The movie trailer was enough to catch my interest and send a few chills down my spine.
The Strangers’ main plot is a couple travels to a home in the back country and they are terrorized by complete strangers for no apparent reason. The Strangers is the first movie directed and written by Brian Bertino and I must say this is a great movie to start your professional career off with.
This movie is not a typical gore horror as we have all become adjusted to. It is more as N* described it, an Alfred Hitchcock classic style movie. The suspense throughout this entire motion picture is what truly made this the scariest movie I have seen this year.
I would recommend this movie to those who prefer suspenseful movies and psychological thrillers. All in all I give this movie a 7.5/10. Not the best movie I have ever seen, but definitely in my top 5 horrors. (Before you ask, I’m not sure what my #1 horror movie would be..).
So go check out the movie and let me know what you thought of it!

I am left with a few unanswered questions that leave me a bit perturbed:
1) What happened to the Jeep that was driven by Steven (the friend from the wedding, I think that was his name)? I saw the hole in the windshield and yet I never saw it again.
2) Did Kristen (Liv Tyler) survive? Or was her last blood hurdling scream at the little Mormon boy just a last effort to have me pee my pants?
and Lastly,
3) One of the last lines of the movie the motherly figure serial killer turns to her supposed daughter and says “Next time it will be easier”. Is this a hint at a sequel? I dare say that I hope not.
