Chivalry is defined as courteous behavior typically directed towards a female by a gentleman.
While on Dr. Phil, Dick was described as chivalrous by one of the other guest stars…What in the hell was she thinking?

On to my commentary on his idiotic thought process:

1) Opening Doors:
Dicks Explanation: Men open doors because woman will walk into them otherwise. Men do not want to have bruised brides.
Ms.Caesi: How many times have you walked into a door? How many times have you seen a female walk into a door? In fact for your viewing pleasure please enjoy this manly man slamming his face into glass. None the less, gentleman open the car door or house door for their lady because it is an act of respect.

2) Pulling Out Chairs
Dicks Explanation: Pulling out a woman’s chair is equivalent to stealing your girlfriend’s email password. She is not allowed to have a personal email account and needs constant babysitting.
Ms.Caesi: I am not sure what exactly I was supposed to understand from that one. Again, pulling out a chair is a sign of respect. For the record, I have 3 email accounts personally.

3) Paying For Things
Dicks Explanation: Woman cannot make money and do not know what to do with money.
Ms.Caesi: I can name over 100 people that make X number of times the amount of money Mr. Masterson makes and make better choices with it. I for one have a great paying job of which I work hard at and I spend money wisely. Not something I can say for Dick with is Billboard.

All in all Dick says that chilvalry is to help woman perform tasks that they are incapable of peforming.
I KNOW that chivalry is simply a form of courtesy and courtship of a woman. Isn’t it nice having people perform such minimal tasks for you?
